Volair’s Learn 2 Swim Programme is back!

Our Learn 2 Swim Programme restarted from Monday 12th April .  Please visit your HomePortal account to view your child’s lesson day & time.

In line with Government and Swim England guidance we have made some changes to how the lessons will operate.

Initially our lessons will only be open to children already enrolled on our programme.

How we’re keeping children safe

  • Social distancing signage and floor markers are in place
  • Hand sanitiser points have been installed throughout our clubs
  • We have developed a rigorous cleaning schedule which includes cleaning between each lesson
  • We have introduced drop off and pick up zones to help facilitate cleaning
  • We have significantly reduced the number of children in each lesson.
  • To accommodate all children we will be operating bi-weekly lessons, this means your child will attend lessons every other week. Payments will be adjusted accordingly
  • Swimming teachers will be teaching out of the water, Duckling lessons will remain suspended
  • All equipment will be sanitised before and after use
  • No sharing of equipment
  • We can no longer loan equipment like goggles but these can be purchased from reception
  • Regular testing of pool water chemicals and high levels of air ventilation in the pool hall

Before You Visit

  • We are asking children to come ‘swim ready’, this means they have their swimwear on underneath their clothes. This will limit the amount of time spent in the changing rooms
  • We request that only one adult attends with the child for their lesson
  • Arrive only 5 minutes before your child’s lesson is due to start
  • Please remember your child’s membership card and swipe in at reception

While Visiting

  • Whilst waiting for your swimming teacher please follow social distancing measures in place, we recommend, where space permits, waiting in a changing cubicle
  • We are requesting children shower at home after their lesson
  • The viewing area will have social distancing measures in place. Viewing galleries will have markers on chairs to demonstrate social distancing

Not Ready To Return

If you do not yet feel ready to return despite our safety measures, are in a vulnerable group, have other commitments at the moment or are struggling financially you can request a 3 month freeze here

We cannot guarantee your child’s usual lesson day/time will be available upon your return however we will do our best to accommodate all children.  We will inform you of the date your Direct Debit will resume, it will be your responsibility to arrange your child’s return.

Payments & Credits

We have calculated all credits due to swimmers as a result of our clubs being closed.

Direct Debit Members: These credits will be deducted from your first direct debit payment

Cash Paying Members:  We have added the credits to your child’s account.

You don’t need to do anything regarding payments.
