From Saturday 21st December until Sunday 5th January 2025, swimming across all Volair clubs will be free to children aged under 16 during public swimming times, thanks to Knowsley Council.
This Christmas, Volair clubs across Knowsley are thrilled to offer free junior swimming sessions for all children aged under 16. Whether your child is a budding swimmer or just looking to enjoy some splash time, this is a fantastic opportunity to make the most of the festive period!
The free swimming sessions have been funded by Knowsley Council’s Public Health team to encourage more children to swim as part of a healthy and active lifestyle.

How to participate
The free junior swimming sessions will be available throughout December school holidays during public swim times. Check out our Christmas opening times on our website or by downloading our mobile app – it’s free to download just search ‘Volair’ on GooglePlay or visit the AppStore. Free swimming will be available during any advertised opening times (last admission is 45 minutes prior to closing).
If you’re not already a registered Volair member, please register online ahead of visiting. It is free to register and saves time at reception when you arrive.
Pool Safety Rules
It’s important to remember that whilst children under the age of 16 will swim for free, all children under 8 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Adult swimming costs £5.80 per session.
Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a responsible adult on a ratio of no more than 1 adult to 2 children.
