Volair is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Swimming Coordinator to lead the delivery and development of our successful Swim Scheme programme at Volair Stockbridge.
This exciting role combines hands-on swimming instruction with team leadership and programme coordination. Working closely with the Facility Manager, you will help drive participation, maintain high teaching standards, and ensure every customer receives a safe, enjoyable, and high-quality swimming experience.
About the Role
As Swimming Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and delivery of Volair’s Swim Scheme. You will support and lead a dedicated team of swimming teachers while playing an active role in teaching lessons and developing the programme.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced swimming teacher looking to take the next step in their career within the leisure industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all areas of the Swim Scheme, including learn-to-swim lessons, school sessions, swimming clubs, and holiday activities.
- Lead, mentor, support, and induct swimming teachers.
- Monitor teaching quality and contribute to staff recruitment, development, and retention.
- Manage class allocations, waiting lists, teacher cover arrangements, and swimming award resources.Support performance monitoring and reporting to help drive programme growth.
- Deliver engaging and structured swimming lessons across a range of abilities and age groups.
- Assess swimmer progression and provide constructive feedback to participants and parents.
- Ensure compliance with all pool safety operating procedures, safeguarding requirements, and the Swim England Code of Ethics.
- Promote a positive customer experience and encourage participation across all aquatic programmes.
