Work starts tomorrow at Volair Halewood, which is undergoing an upgrade, and that means good things for our members, our club community, and the wider Halewood area.
From Monday, 30th June, work will begin on an exciting refurbishment of the all-weather pitch facilities. The refurbishment is part of a wider £30m investment in Halewood, and we’re proud to be a part of the investment.
New covered seating for up to 100 spectators means no more standing in the rain to cheer on the team! There will also be more space for fans on two sides of the pitch, creating an authentic match-day atmosphere.
Upgraded LED floodlights will make evening games brighter and clearer while reducing energy consumption.
We will be installing a brand-new toilet block near the pitch for your convenience. The improved entry routes, including emergency access and new turnstiles, will help everything run smoothly on busy match days.
With these new facilities, Halewood will build on its reputation as a brilliant match-day venue, opening the door to even more prestigious events and bigger moments alongside the incredible games we already host.
For our own Halewood Apollo FC, this upgrade means the chance to move up the football pyramid, opening doors to new competitions and opportunities for our players to shine.
The pitch will remain in use during the 10-week project; however, you may notice temporary changes to access and exit. Just follow the signs or speak to one of the team if you’re unsure.
We’re excited about what’s to come and the positive impact it will have on our club and the broader community. It’s a new chapter for Halewood—and we can’t wait to experience it together.
