We’re delighted to announce the reopening of the swimming pool at Volair Kirkby on Tuesday 2 May 2023. We understand the temporary closure of the pool may have caused some inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and support during this time.
As we previously announced, the delay in reopening was due to the installation of a new substation linked to our green energy transformation project. Whilst Scottish Power continues to work on the installation, we have been working tirelessly with our partners to secure a solution which will allow the pool to reopen whilst this work is complete.
We are pleased to announce that a solution has been found which will enable us to heat and reopen the swimming pool. However, due to the final stages of the substation installation still taking place, there remains no hot water throughout the club, including the showers. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
