Over 300 BMX riders headed to Volair BMX Park on Sunday (June 25th) when we hosted the eighth round of the North Region BMX Championships.
Volair BMX Park witnessed an exhilarating display of skill and talent as we hosted round 8 of the North Region BMX Championships.
Spectators witnessed an exceptional calibre of BMX riders from across the region. The riders aged from six years old competed in action packed races, creating a thrilling atmosphere.
The event was organised between Volair, Knowsley BMX Club and North Region BMX. It is the eighth round in the competition, with riders having already competed in various locations such as Crewe, Bruntwood and Blackpool, building up the excitement and anticipation for the finals scheduled to take place in Preston this September.
Reflecting on the event, Shirley Buxton, the Facility Manager at Knowsley Leisure & Culture Park said
“We have got a fantastic track here at Volair BMX Park, naturally we were delighted to host the North Region BMX Championships once again. I would encourage everyone to come along and have a go on the track – Knowsley BMX Club meet every Tuesday Thursday at 6:15pm and always welcome new members. We have bikes and safety equipment available to hire”.

Knowsley BMX Club
For those interested in riding the track more often and developing their skills, Knowsley BMX Club run regular sessions every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:15pm. These sessions are open to everyone, as long as you can ride a bike safely.
