If your child struggles in group settings, we are limiting the number of participants for our SEN FREE Junior Swim Sessions at Volair Stockbridge and Volair Kirkby to 30. This change aims to help create a more relaxed and manageable space for everyone. This allows all children to access a fun, safe, and comfortable environment. The free SEN swim at Volair Kirkby will take place over the October half-term. No need to book. An accompanying adult swim costs £6 per person.
These SEN sessions aim to create a welcoming environment for children and young people who prefer a calmer, more intimate group experience. These sessions have a reduced capacity to offer ‘sensory-friendly’ sessions, where the pool is quieter. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at a ratio of no more than 1 adult to 2 children.

The free junior swimming sessions will be available throughout the October school half-term during public swim times. Check out our opening times on our website or by downloading our mobile app – it’s free to download. Just search ‘Volair’ on Google or visit the App Store. Free swimming will be available during advertised opening hours (last admission is 45 minutes before closing).
If you’re not already a registered Volair member, please register online ahead of visiting. It is free to register and saves time at reception when you arrive.
It’s essential to note that while children under 16 swim for free, all children under 8 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Adult swimming costs £6.00 per session.
A responsible adult must accompany children under the age of 8 on a ratio of no more than 1 adult to 2 children.
